1.
Multiple school names are printed below the vicinity
maps when they offer education services to common
attendance areas. For example, two elementary schools
would be shown for one attendance area when they
split grades between K-1-2 and children in grades
3, 4, and 5.
2.
Supplementary information can be listed below location
vicinity maps, such as school addresses, contact
names, achievement levels, and local school web
pages.
3.
The preceding information is user-controlled. It
is stored in a standard MapInfo database that can
be updated with new data at any time.
4.
Information can be provided for all school levels
(elementary, middle, and high school) in FindSchool,
or it can be limited to schools at one level. This
is to be determined when FindSchool is installed
and can be modified by system administrators if
experiences show that different behavior is needed.
5.
This flexibility makes it possible to show approved
and adopted school attendance areas for future school
years when that is appropriate.
